    Hello

I have been cross stitching for over 10 years and have only ever completed projects that required handheld hoops. I'm about to start the giant Welcome banner that came with CorssSticher mag a few issues back, and feel a standing frame would help me acheive a better result. Can you advise the best place to start looking for one? I don't want to spend a lot of money if it can be helped.

    Thanks
    Gemma

I just registered and bought a pattern. I am prevented from downloading it as Firefox crashes every time I try. Fortunately I only paid £1.99 so haven't lost much, but it doesn't bode well for my buying anything else.

Hello stockdalecarina – I think you emailed us? I've just replied, hopefully you'll be able to get your pattern now.

Don't worry, you'll never lose money if you can't download a pattern – just email us at themakingspot@futurenet.com and I'll be able to help you get the pattern or arrange a refund if you prefer.

I would like to retract my previous comment. I received help almost immediately and now highly recommend this website. I apologize for my rash, knee-jerk reaction. I also offer my thanks for the support from Jenny. THANK YOU!!!

THIS WEBSITE IS RIPPING ME OFF!!! I BOUGHT ONE MITTEN PATTERN ONCE(!) FOR 2.99 AND THEY KEEP CHARGING ME 2.99 EVERY SINGLE DAY. I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE TO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO STOP THIS COMPANY FROM CHARGING ME OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Hi Sandy, of course that shouldn't be happening – I'll check this out now and drop you an email soon.

    Hello, hello!
I am a gound zero learner and I have decided to make this amazing scarf designed by Layla Chelache (p22-23)! And you know what I already have a problem... What a dummy!
What happens is: she writes that each block starts with 37 stitches. Ok, right-ho I can do that... But then she writes: Slip 1 purlwise + knit 16 + Slip 1 knitwise + Knit 2 together + psso (which means 2 stiches, no?) + knit 17.
Well... that represents 39 stitches, no?
I know, I know I am a pain... But I cannot figure it out by myself!

Hi Chabine! Which magazine/issue is the scarf in? I'll take a look and see if I can help!

I have made some of the crochet snowflakes in wire. I also had a go at the bell from the same Simply Knitting Christmas book.
