    Step 1

Download our cone template (above), and use it to cut two pieces of fabric and two of wadding. Trim your aida to 6.5x30cm and fray the outer row. Back with iron-on interfacing. With right sides facing up, machine stitch the aida to one of the triangles.

    Step 2

With right sides together, sandwich a 30cm length of ribbon between the two fabric pieces. Pin one end 9cm from the left side of the wide end of the triangle and the other 9cm from the right. Place one piece of wadding beneath the fabric and one on top.

    Step 3

Pin and sew along the top curved line. Unfold the fabric, creating a diamond shape with the seam along the middle. Fold the long way, right sides together. Pin and sew along the open edge. Leave an opening on the side without the stitched strip.

    Step 4

Next, turn your fabric right side out and slip stitch the opening closed. Use a stick or wooden knitting needle to push one half of the diamond into the other, creating a cone shape. Iron the cone and fill it with chocolate eggs and Easter treats!
