    Start with an extended fly stitch with two strands of stranded cotton. Bring the needle up at 1 and down at 2. Bring the needle up at 3 and down at 4. This will hold your loop in place. Then add two extra legs to create a base. Weave with 4mm ribbon. Bring the ribbon up near the centre and begin weaving over and under the five legs in a circular movement until you arrive at the outside.
