Create an altered pocket page
As seen in Papercraft inspirations
It's all the extra details that make an altered book so exciting - you never know what you'll see next when you turn the page! A great way to add these extra elements to a page is to fold it to create a pocket. Follow the simple steps below to create one that holds two embellished tags.
Step 1Take the corners of a blank page and fold them inwards to form a triangle. Add glue to the next page and repeat until you have a folded page with a few layers built up. |
Step 2Glue more pages together behind the pocket page, then decorate both the pocket page and page underneath with your choice of patterned papers. |
Step 3Punch a hole through the point of the triangle and page behind. To create the pocket, fasten the folded page to the one behind using fibres or ribbon. |
Step 4Add beads or charms to give even more interest to the fibres. Decorate two tags to match and insert them into the pockets formed by the triangle. |
