    How to knit stripes

Use this simple method to create stripy effects

    Step 1

Knot the new ball to the existing yarn, leaving a 2in, 5cm tail. Push the knot up to meet the knitting.

    Step 2

As you knit, twist the two yarns together to weave loose ends on the wrong side of your work.

    Step 3

When knitting stripes, twist the two yarns together at the start of a row to carry it up the edge.

    Step 4

This what the reverse of your knitting will look like, with the yarn neatly woven into the edge.
