    Willow leaves cardigan

Pat Menchini’s lattering long-line jerkin features cable panels and a dainty shell border.

The sweeping, flowing shape of this jerkin knitting pattern makes us think of quiet rivers bordered with graceful weeping willows. It’s a really versatile garment, because you can dress it up for an elegant evening out, matching it with a camisole and flowing skirt or wide-legged trousers, or fling it on on over jeans and a long-sleeved top for a more casual look.

This top is designed for six UK dress sizes, from 8-10 (to fit bust 81-86cm) to 28-30 (to fit bust 132-137cm).

I enjoyed making this cardigan. It was a bit fiddly I admit but since not having knitted for many years, it certainly turned out lovely.

Wonderful, thanks for sharing your photo. I'd never have guessed that you hadn't knitted for years, it looks perfect! I love the texture and colour of this cardi.
