    Soft pink stole

Show off your knitting skills with Anniken Allis’s stunning ‘Flight of the Swan’ stole in soft Merino wool

This delicate cover-up, which combines knitting with simple crochet, will soon become an essential part of your wardrobe all year round. Knitted in Malabrigo’s super-soft baby Merino lace yarn, it’s a lovely yarn to work with and the end result is a beautiful accessory guaranteed to take the edge off colder days and evenings.

The stole is knitted in two halves from the middle out and a crochet trim finishes off the piece for a pretty, feminine touch. The finished stole measure 52x236cm.

Even though it has an intricate interweaved design, it is really straightforward to knit from the chart or written instructions, with only 76 stitches on the needle. Some knitters prefer to use wood or bamboo needles when knitting with laceweight yarn, as it is less likely to slip off the needle by accident.

well, i have my misgivings. because the way i see it, if you make it the way it is described and with the yarn it says you should use, it gets wayyyyy smaller than it should. i "doubled" the count of stitches to get to the right size and it works quite nicely. i'm still nit quite done with it, because it's a ton of work, but it's going to be a supersoft and warm shawl to keep me warm on cold days :)

Thanks for your tip, Annemie, I'll ask our knitting team to double-check the pattern in case we need to add a correction. Hope your shawl keeps you cosy! :)
