Amanda Jones' adorable child's cape is inspired by the story of Little Red Riding Hood! “It’s a festive cape for that special time of year, but you can make it in plenty of other colours to be worn all year round,” Amanda says. “The edging can be worked in the same colour yarn to give a more subtle effect." The cape is worked from the top down with a knitted-on edging so there is no sewing up to be done, and the hood could be left off if you just want the cape as it is.
The cape is designed in three sizes; 4-6yrs (to fit chest 54-61cm), 7-9yrs (to fit chest 63-69cm), and 10-12yrs (to fit chest 75-87cm). You'll find all of our knitting abbreviations here.
