Eddie Cochrane might not have known a cure for the summertime blues, but we reckon this perky polka dot cardigan will do the trick. With its three-quarter sleeves and boxy shape, there’s a touch of the late 1950s to it, so it’s perfect for fans of Mad Men and Audrey Hepburn.

“This cardigan was inspired by simple vintage styles which knitters turn to again and again. I wanted to design something fresh and fun, but very wearable,” says designer Rosee Woodland.

This pattern is designed for eight UK dress sizes, from size 8 (to fit bust 81cm) to size 22 (to fit bust 117cm). You can find our knitting abbreviations here.
