Rowan's Kidsilk Haze yarn has been used to great effect in this square lace shawl knitting pattern by Sarah Hatton. “I designed this heirloom shawl to be the most luxurious way to cocoon yourself over the cold months, as well as being a beautiful pattern to knit for a christening or a special occasion,” says Sarah. The central panel starts with a waste yarn cast-on and is then knitted back and forth to create a large square. Next, stitches are picked up along the sides and cast-onedge (removing the waste yarn to reveal stitches), and the border is worked in theround. Finally, the stitches are ‘cast off’ by working a knitted on edging. Kidsilk H`aze is a much loved yarn for lace shawls, as it gives a lustrous, cobweb-like finish to your projects.
