A dazzling variegated yarn takes centre stage in these top-down socks with a geometric pattern

Bright bubbles of colour burst from these cheerful socks by Rhian Drinkwater. She has combined an intense variegated yarn with a semi-solid black and used a slip stitch pattern to create her design. Rhian says: “The number of cast-on stitches is high because the slip stitch pattern pulls the whole sock in a lot. I recommend wet blocking the finished socks before wear - because the top of the foot has slipped stitches but the sole does not, the tendency is for the foot of the socks to curl upwards.”
