Streamlined, unfussy shapes were popular for knitting in the 1960s, and Katya Frankel’s top has the simple elegance of knits of that era, plus it uses modern seam-free construction techniques so there’s very little making up to do. The sleeveless top is worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom up to the armholes. At that point the body is divided into front and back and finished by working flat. The collar is added once the neckline and shoulder shaping are complete.
This pattern is designed for seven sizes, from XS (to fit bust 76.25cm-81cm) to 3XL (to fit bust 122-127cm). It's available in issue 48 of The Knitter magazine. The price we've listed is for buying the digital issue from Apple Newsstand.
