    Cosy mitts

Make Debbie Tomkies' gorgeous mittens with just 100g yarn!

Not only are these knit-mitts incredibly cute, they're also highly practical. Designer Debbie Tomkies often uses hers when she is knitting. “I wear mine as they keep my wrists from getting stiff without getting in the way of my clicking needles.”

Debbie's pattern also gives you the option to knit a pair of shorter wristlets to use when horseriding, gardening or doing any other outdoor activities where you need to have freedom of movement, but want a little bit of extra warmth. “They're surprisingly effective at warding off the chill without getting muddy!” she says. The knit-mitts can be made in just a couple of hours and are simple enough for a beginner. “The rib stitch gives a snug but stretchy fit and the length can be adjusted to suit.” adds Debbie.
