    Cherish baby layette

Celebrate a new baby’s arrival with this layette of blanket, hat and mitts

    cute, layette

This classic layette of a blanket, hat and mitts is the latest in our series of baby knitting patterns and would make a beautiful and practical gift for parents of a newborn. Designed by Sarah Hatton, the pattern is sized from birth to 12 months. It has been knitted in Rowan Wool Cotton which is soft enough for delicate skins, and Sarah has chosen neutral shades with a vintage feel. Sarah has made a feature out of eyelets, which appear as diagonal stripes on the pram blanket and on the edgings of the hat and mitts. Borders of double moss stitch add a simple yet elegant touch.

You can find the abbreviations for our knitting patterns here.

Can't even get started as the download does not include a list of the abbreviations used which were apparently on a different page in the magazine. What a waste of money!
