    cosy, hot water bottle

Cold feet – who needs them? Nobody, and you won’t have them if you knit Mary Henderson’s Fair Isle hot water bottle cover. What’s more, if you use a hot water bottle to soothe a sore back or other aches, you’ll have the nicest-looking one in town. “Using a circular needle and working flat means the colours can be carried up the side so there are no strands to mend in at the end – something I really hate doing,” explains Mary. If you don’t like using circular needles, you can always knit it on straight, single-pointed needles. Just remember that you will need to cut the yarn at the ends of some rows, so you’ll need to weave in more ends once you’ve finished knitting.
