The bigger the bow, the bigger the statement! Make Jane Burns’ pretty hair accessory in a textured moss stitch, which alternates knit stitches and purl stitches on every row. This pattern is also easy to adapt – you could knit it in plain stocking stitch or change the colours to add stripes. And if it’s for a special gift, you could even sew tiny beads onto the centre.
The large bow measures 15x10cm, and the smaller bow measures 9x5cm.
Once you have made a bow, just attach it to a simple hair clip with a few stitches and it’s ready to wear. It’s time to get knitting!
This is one of our series of pdf knitting patterns first published in Simply Knitting magazine. Please note that yarn shade (Bergère de France Ciboulette in purple) used in this pattern was exclusive to Simply Knitting issue 98 and is not repeatable, although other shades are available.
