Need a little knit in a hurry? Whip up these stashbusting, quick-to-knit baby bootees!
These baby bootees have a different construction from adult sock designs, but you'll still need to knit in the round in order to make them. This minimises the amount of making up you need to do. Although they look like they're cabled, you don't have to fuss around with a cable needle - again, perfect when you're in a hurry. You cast on the same number of stitches for all sizes. “The cuffs are designed to fit chubby baby ankles,” says designer Kirstie McLeod. “They won't be able to kick the bootees off.” Robin Bonny Babe DK comes in all sorts of lovely baby shades, including printed ones like the spotty colourway Kirstie used.
