    Striking kingfisher

Lesley Teare celebrates springtime with the king of river birds

Like an arrow of blue and crimson flame, the kingfisher plunges into the water below and reappears with a glittering fish clutched in its beak. This bird is truly a sight to behold, with its bright plumage seeming better suited to more exotic climes.

Lesley has captured the moment of stillness before the plunge, as the kingfisher sits enjoying the spring sunshine, surrounded by wild flowers and with a dragonfly whizzing about overhead. With this design on your wall you’ll be able to mentally escape to this peaceful spot whenever you want to!
