The Stargazer lily is a relatively recent hybrid development, first being produced in the late 197s, but it's a firm cross stitch favourite. Caroline's cross stitch pattern captures all the beauty of these luscious flowers but, as she notes opposite, some lilies are toxic for cats, so these stitched ones are the safe and beautiful option for a cat owner. It's not hard to see how this lily got its name, with the upward facing flowers and stamens. Along with the beauty of the flowers and its fragrance, the name of these lilies is also enough to bring us a smile as we think of the future and our hopes and dreams. Stitch this lovely design and make today and tomorrow better days.
