This is the second of
Sheila Hudson's oriental garden scenes and it's a perfect match for her Eastern Promise teahouse scene. Here the teahouse shown in her other scene is shown joined by a half-moon bridge to make another exquisite picture. While the two cross stitch charts make a perfect pair once all stitched up, they also work as stand alone pieces.
Sheila told us a little more about the inspiration for the two pieces, “I am fascinated by the combination of geometric formality and the representation of the landscape. The half-moon bridge in this second picture is so called because it is completed by its reflection in the water on moonlit nights to make a full moon.
