These iconic vehicles are all over the high street, adorning everything from tote bags to tea towels, so we thought it was about time we came up with our very own cross stitched version!
Electric blue and punchy orange are must-have shades for summer, but you could easily change these to match your existing décor. Go wild with bobble trim for a cheery look the whole family will enjoy, or finish in white box frames for a contemporary wall art look.
Each of these cool campervans measures 20x22.5cm.

ps oooh and another good tip for x stitch projects like this that have big blocks of colour, is to stitch the outlines of a section first (so you have to concentrate for that bit), but then just fill in the gap in the middle in rows of stitches later - it means you stitch the middle section quicker...

Super ideas, thank you for the tips. Quite new to cross stitching and this is my first big project. Have been sticking to one colour at a time which has been rather slow and bitty. Will get some needles threaded up now with different colours. Will let you know how I get on. Hoping progress will be quicker now the nights are getting darker too!! All tips gratefully received. What are you working on at the mo?

I'm stitching 2 things at the mo - a birth sampler (a giant letter 'L' for my friend's baby girl Laila), and a wedding sampler for my cousin who got married last month! I'm also knitting a baby blanket too - perhaps I should stick to one thing at a time! Hope the 'thread parking' works for you - I only tried it for the first time last Autumn but it really sped things up for me!

Hi Fflurj, I love this project! Have got it 'queuing' at home waiting for me to start making it! Have you tried 'parking' your threads? I find this helps me speed up on patterns with colour changes - you thread up several needles with the different colours and 'park' them at the side of your stitching while you work on different areas - then just pick them up and keep sttiching when you get to another area with that colour... hope this helps!
