Created for The Natural Dye Studio by Amanda Perkins, this stunning crochet wrap is a wonderful way to show off a luxury hand-dyed yarn. Crochet is making a big come back, both on the catwalks and within the crafting community. Amanda’s design takes the art a thousand miles on from the traditional ‘granny square’, showing how crochet can be used to create something quite amazing. We’re sure this beautiful creation will tempt knitters to pick up their crochet hooks. Tansy is a long, rectangular wrap made up of 120 motifs, and these motifs are all variations of the same flower theme. Amanda has used her hand-dyed Dazzling 4ply yarn, which is a blend of British Bluefaced Leicester wool and silk. By choosing two different colours of subtly variegated yarn, she has helped the complete flower motifs to really stand out.
