    Tutorial: 3D paper flowers

    As seen in Papercraft inspirations

Grow a bunch of elegant cards & transform your patterned papers into easy 3D blooms!

Follow our six easy steps to craft yourself a stunning card - look out for our nifty peg tip!

    Step 1

Edge a panel of green paper with black and stick it to your card blank. Attach an adhesive trim across the bottom of the card and punch parts of its pattern with a small hole punch.

    Step 2

Use our template to cut out the stem and leaves from red card. Add some more leaves cut from patterned paper, then fix the stem to the card with sticky foam pads.

    Step 3

Cut or punch circles from patterned papers. Overlap the circles and punch again to make two-colour circular petals! Repeat until you have made seven patterned paper petals.

    Step 4

Score and fold two lines across each circle, using your template as a guide. Glue the edges together to form a large fiower, using mini pegs to hold it together while it dries.

    Step 5

Add black patterned circles around the edge of your fiower. Use sticky foam pads to attach the fiower at the top of the stem - add them behind each petal and the fiower centre.

    Step 6

Stack two buttons and sew them together with a needle and thread, securing with a knot at the back. Finish by sticking the buttons in the centre of your 3D fiower.
