Before you get stuck in to our step-by-step tutorial, bear these tips in mind:
    • For neater and more precise stamping, ink your stamp, place it on your work surface and press the acetate over the top.
    • Rub an anti-static pad over the surface of your acetate before applying embossing powder or glitters. This really helps as acetate can be very static.
    • Keep your fingers off the surface of your acetate as much as possible as the oils from your hands can spoil your tidily stamped image.
    • Work carefully with a well-inked stamp to avoid slipping and blurring of the image, applying only a gentle pressure in order to make the transfer. The best results are achieved using a well used ink pad (so it's slightly drier) although more pressure will be needed.
    • Stamp on to acetate and use this image to experiment with where to place your message or image before stamping on to your final design.

    Step 1

Stamp stars on acetate using StazOn ink. (If it smudges, you can actually clean it off the acetate with stamp cleaner and start again.)

    Step 2

Cut out the stamped stars slightly beyond the outline of the star image so that you leave a small clear border area.

    Step 3

Apply a liquid glue, such as Diamond Glaze, along the edges of your cut out stars and sprinkle glitter on top. Leave to dry.

    Step 4

Attach the shimmering stars to the front of your card with a 'glittered' brad, to add to the sparkle of your acetate accents.
