Autumn is an inspiring season for crafters, and there's no need to limit our card designs to plain reds and browns! Designer Julie Kirk has come up with this collection of cheerful patterned cards that capture the feeling of a walk in the woods. Julie says “Experiment with adding a multitude of colourful patterns to your cards! Combine patterned papers in different ways to see which work best together - it's a lot of fun!” Start tonight and bring forest looks to your birthday cards, scrapbook pages and more!

This is a pdf article, first published in Papercraft inspirations. It includes a step-by-step guide for how to recreate Julie's perfect pheasant card. All shopping lists and supplies suggestions in this pdf were correct at the time of publication, but you may need to improvise & shop around for supplies if items are no longer in the shops.

Thanks for the free templates! I'm a textile junkie so I'd do up the pheasant in fabric, Applique is sooo easy.

Great idea! The pheasant will look gorgeous in fabric – I'd love to see a photo when you're done :)
